PLA

Polylactides, colloquially also called polylactic acids (PLA) are synthetic polymers that are among the polyesters. They are made of many chemically bound milk
built up acid molecules.

The PLA growth of recent years is largely based on the use of PLA blends for packaging of short-lived goods. In particular, biodegradability and the alternative disposal route associated therewith for the consumer are used. In most cases, the blends replace the conventional packaging plastics polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP).
