PE
Polyethylene is about 30% of the total amount of the most used plastic. PE is a thermoplastic polymer produced by chain polymerization of ethene with the simplified structural formula.
This polymer belongs to the group of polyolefins. The main application of PE is film and packaging, such as canisters, simple injection molded parts, and pipes. Depending on the density, there are four types:
HDPE (* high density); MDPE (* medium density); LDPE (* low density); LLDPE (* linear density)
